Assuming the cost of the land on Salisbury Road to be
equal in value to the land of the adjacent lots and that the
quantity required for the siding would be about 35,000 square feet.

Over this siding there would be carried about twenty
five thousand tons of high class freight which it is essential
to carry to the Wharfs, the net earning on which, to the British
Section alone, would be about $20,000. Besides there would be
the takings from the Flag Stations which has been proposed above,
but as this would involve extra cost they should not be placed to
the credit of the siging.
In case the Wharf and Godown Company could not meet the
cost as above they should have no difficulty in paying $2,640
which is interest at 4 per cent on the amount.
